Capacity figures have moved since 2025, when OpenAI described about 7 GW of planned capacity across Abilene and five further sites. In a post dated 2026-04-29 OpenAI said it had already surpassed the 10 GW it committed to secure by 2029, with more than 3 GW added in the previous 90 days, and that GPT-5.5 was trained at Abilene.
